Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, CA

October 26-27, 2020

We had intended to stay here a bit longer but circumstances beyond our control made it necessary we leave here earlier than intended. However, we enjoyed what time we did have here. I will admit before coming out here I really didn’t know the difference between a redwood tree and a sequoia tree. At first glance in books and material they looked alike. However, now I know they are not alike except that they are both GIANTS in their own unique way. The redwoods are giants in their height while the sequoia’s are giants in their girth. Sequoia’s are the ones you hear about people driving cars through as we did (sort of). The fires of CA has created a lot of smoke and unclear conditions in the parks out here and Sequoia was no exception so we were not sure what we were going to get when we headed out to the top of Moro Rock for a sunset view. Luckily, we were not disappointed. Even with the smoke and haze, mother nature provided us with a stunning view. Enjoy our sunset pictures here.
