If you have never been here I would suggest you go sometime when in Oregon. This is a lake that was created over 7000 years ago when a volcano erupted and then collapsed. It is the deepest lake in the U.S at 1,949 feet deep and it is beautiful. We made this our stop while traveling from Washington State to California. We spent an amazing clear autumn day driving the road that goes around the lake before heading to Klamath Falls, OR to spend the night. We hope you enjoy the pictures from our adventure.
