Again, just another overnight stop on our way West. We stayed near the river and in the old market area of Omaha. I have a very good friend and sorority sister, Ashley, who lives in Lincoln with her husband and new baby girl. They met us in Omaha to do some walking around together. We walked on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge that goes across the Missouri River between Iowa and Nebraska. For those of you who live back in Greenville, it looks a lot like our bridge in Falls Park. We had a great pasta dinner in the old market area before heading back for some sleep before our long drive to South Dakota. On the way to Badlands National Park in S.D. the next day we made a stop at the infamous Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. We also stopped at the Lewis and Clark rest area in Chamberlain S.D. for a beautiful view of the Missouri River as well as a beautiful statute of a Native American woman. If any of you ever find yourself on I-90 between Nebraska and SD put these stops on your list.
